Favorite Fantasy Title
Finally, P.C. Hodgell has written another book in the Kendar series “To Ride a Rathorn”. This book is the fourth in the series, which started 25 years ago with “God Stalk”; in this volume, she continues the story of Jame and the Kencyr. While the story is engrossing, one must have read at least the first two volumes to understand the settings and the characters. So read “God Stalk” and “Dark of the Gods” and then dive into Jame’s world or screaming vegetables; people who have died but are not truly dead and the rathorn, an animal that likes to eat flesh and then grows a skin of ivory plate.
