The Harry Potter Epilogue

it's really over???

*****BEWARE SPOILERS BELOW*****

The Two Types of HP Readers

There are two types of Harry Potter readers:

  • Those who finish the last book completely satisfied with her beautifully artistic ending.
  • Those who finish the last book with lots of questions still in your mind. If you fall into this category you've found the right spot.

The Unwritten Epilogue

According to an interview with Meridith Viera, JK Rowling originally wrote the epilogue with every last detail.  Unfortunately it read poorly, more like a geneology, so she took a step back and rewrote it almost as if you were looking at the last scene from a distance, through the mist.

It is a beautiful ending, but I set this wiki up so that those who want to know more can view it, and those who know more can share it.
